Josh Allen was born in the unassuming farming town of Firebaugh, California, on May 21, 1996. He was a multi-sport athlete in high school, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. Despite his athletic versatility, football stood out as his primary passion.

High school scouts overlooked this farm boy. After high school, he received no scholarship offers from NCAA Division I schools, leading him to play at Reedley College. Then, scouts from the University of Wyoming caught his talent and offered him a scholarship to play for their football team. His unwavering perseverance and unwavering propelled him from these humble beginnings to becoming one of the NFL’s leading quarterbacks.

The Beginning of NFL Stardom at Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills picked Josh Allen in the 2018 NFL Draft—the move would change everything. They selected Allen as the 7th overall first-round draft pick.

Fast forward a few years, and Allen is the quarterback the Bills are going for. He’s become the Bills’ golden boy, a dual-threat magic maker who can attack from his arm and dodge tackles like he’s in Madden NFL. We’re talking about MVP-caliber good.

Speaking of MVP, 2024 has been his year. Allen’s been turning heads and dropping jaws, keeping the Buffalo Bills in serious Super Bowl conversation. Sure, other players like Patrick Mahomes are making noise, but Allen is also writing his own highlight reel.

Did Hailee and Josh get married?

Yes, Allen and actress Hailee Steinfeld got are officially married. The couple tied the knot on May 31, 2025, in a romantic ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. The wedding blended Hollywood glamour with NFL camaraderie, featuring a star-studded guest list that included comedian Larry David and several of Allen’s Buffalo Bills teammates.

Allen just pulled off the ultimate romantic play – proposing to Hailee Steinfeld in a picture-perfect beachside setting. After keeping their engagement under wraps for a week, the couple went public on Instagram on November 29, 2024, with a cryptic “♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️” caption that set the internet buzzing.

Their love story kicked off quickly. After Allen’s breakup with his long-time girlfriend Britanny Williams, he and Steinfeld were first spotted together in New York City, then enjoying a getaway in Cabo, Mexico. The relationship went fully public when Allen shared loved-up photos from Paris on Instagram, marking the first time he officially acknowledged their romance.

Josh Allen Balances Comfort and Style

Unlike his NFL counterparts Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Allen prefers cozy, simple clothing. He usually wears hoodies, joggers, and sneakers, especially during game-day arrivals. But when the occasion calls for it, he steps up his fashion game with tailored suits and sharp accessories.

When the spotlight demands sophistication, Allen transforms. The Kentucky Derby became his unexpected runway, where he unveiled looks that turned heads.

He went viral last year for his look at last year’s Kentucky Derby. He began to go outside of his comfort zone by wearing a salmon abstract silk print from Tom Marchitelli, the New Jersey-based designer behind Gentleman’s Playbook. He paired it with retro large rectangular men’s sunglasses.

On the other Kentucky Derby event, he wore a custom-made seafoam three-piece suit from the same Marchitelli collection. The suit turned heads for its price tag—costing anywhere from $3000 to $5000.

2. His Usual Casual Featuring White Dr. Dre Beats

In the name of fashion, anything can be your accessory. Including your favorite tech gear!

We often see the Bills QB holding his white Dr. Dre beats with him. Sure, he got a deal with the brand but these beats also complete his look.

In addition, Allen’s fashion philosophy is basically “comfort is king.” We’re talking soft organic cotton, cozy merino wool, and luxe cashmere—the fabrics that feel like a warm hug. Whether rocking a simple sweater or a basic tee, he’s all about looking good without trying too hard.

3. The Specs over Hat

In the name of keeping it casual, Allen is often spotted wearing specs over his cap. The hat provides the base, and the sunglasses add extra something that turns a basic look into a statement. It’s casual, it’s practical, but it’s also undeniably stylish.

Whether he’s heading to practice or golfing, this accessory combo proves he’s a low-key style icon who makes even the simplest outfit look intentional.

4. Bomber Jackets

Although bomber jackets were originally made for colder weather, it’s now considered as one of the most versatile pieces you can wear on different occasions. And as for Josh Allen, it became his canvas for his pre-game arrival looks.

Allen often sports minimalist bomber jackets with clean lines, and no embellishments or logos. However, there are also times when he tends to be playful with his style. On one occasion, he was wearing a jacket with an interesting graphic.

5. Date Night Fits

Allen keeps things coordinated, whether it’s Steinfeld’s style or just the color palette.

He often chooses neutral shades like khaki, black, or grey. Take it from his look during Paris Fashion Week. He and Steinfeld were seen in coordinated khaki outfits, which stems back to the basics of fashion.

The Play That Broke The Internet

Josh Allen made NFL history by scoring a passing, rushing, and receiving touchdown all in one game—something no quarterback had ever done.

On a single play, Allen threw a pass to Amari Cooper, who, while being tackled, lateralled the ball back to him. He sprinted into the end zone, earning a touchdown reception and another spot in the record books.

Here are other records Allen currently holds:

  • Most Games in a Season with Both a Passing and Rushing Touchdown
  • Highest Passer Rating in a Single Postseason
  • Most Rushing Touchdowns by a Quarterback in a Single Season (Tied)
  • First Player with 4,500 Passing Yards, 35 Passing Touchdowns, and 8 Rushing Touchdowns in a Single Season

Josh Allen’s Work Beyond the Field: Giving Back to the Community

Allen has demonstrated a strong commitment to philanthropy, particularly in support of children’s healthcare.

Following his grandmother, Patricia Allen’s, passing in November 2020, fans donated to Buffalo’s John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in $17 increments to honor the quarterback’s jersey number. The community effort led to the establishment of the Patricia Allen Fund to fund the hospital’s critical care team by funding the staff’s training, education, and various programs.

In 2019, he pledged to donate $200 to Oishei Children’s Hospital for each touchdown he scored, reflecting his connection to children’s health, as his younger brother had battled Kawasaki disease.

Additionally, Allen has participated in the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign, collaborating with young patients from Oishei to design custom cleats, thereby raising awareness and support for the hospital.
