Formula 1’s surge in popularity in the US, helped by Drive to Survive, has pushed a new wave of drivers into the spotlight. Lando Norris is one of the standouts, known for sharp race craft, dry humor, and a paddock style that fans copy at every Grand Prix.
If you are into his look, the sunglasses are a big part of it. Here is a quick ride through his racing story and how he built that laid-back, polished style.
How Did Lando Norris Climb To Formula One?
Lando Norris was born on November 13, 1999, in Bristol, England. He started in karting and quickly stacked up titles, which moved him through junior single-seater categories and into Formula 2, where strong results turned him into a serious F1 prospect.
In 2019, he joined McLaren and made his Formula 1 debut at the Australian Grand Prix alongside Carlos Sainz Jr. A sixth-place finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix gave him his first F1 points and showed he could fight in the midfield straight away.
The progress continued. In 2020, he reached his first F1 podium with third place at the Austrian Grand Prix. Over the following seasons he added more podiums and his first pole position at the Russian Grand Prix, putting him firmly in the conversation as one of the sharpest young drivers on the grid.
How Did His First F1 Wins Change His Career?
After 110 race starts and several near misses, Norris finally broke through at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix. Starting fifth, he used a mid-race safety car and smart timing in the pits to jump into the lead, then kept calm under pressure from Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc to take his first win.
That victory turned his season around and pushed him into his first full championship fight against Verstappen. At the end of the season, he placed 2nd in the championship.
Lando Norris’ Maiden Championship
In 2025, another milestone arrived. At the Monaco Grand Prix, Norris took pole position and converted it into a lights-to-flag win at one of the most famous circuits on the calendar. It was McLaren’s first Monaco victory since 2008 and his second win of that season.
By the end of 2025, he had turned those results into a full drivers’ title, clinching the championship at the Abu Dhabi finale in a three-way title fight against Verstappen and his teammate Oscar Piastri.
What Sunglasses Does Lando Norris Wear?
Photos from race weekends and brand features point to a few favorites in his rotation. He clearly likes rounded or slightly rounded shapes that sit somewhere between classic and sporty.
He Loves a Classic Eyewear

One of the frames he is strongly linked with is the Moscot DAHVEN in Black, often fitted with Custom Made Tints in denim-blue shades. The DAHVEN is cut from thick block acetate in rich colors, with a keyhole bridge and paddle temples that lean into that retro-meets-modern look. The shape works as unisex eyewear, so it suits a wide range of face shapes.
However, the Moscot DAHVEN specs can be expensive. So to achieve his look on a budget, you can get the same flattering, round frame at Classic Specs’ Amherst.
Bright Acetates Are Also His Thing

Moscot has also highlighted Norris in the MOMZA SUN in Cinnamon, another acetate frame with a slightly more angular feel that still matches his relaxed style.
For a cheaper alternative, you can have the same angular frame by grabbing Classic Specs’ Prescott in Carbon Black.
And Of Course, The Classic Thin-Framed Round Specs

At the 2022 Australian Grand Prix, Norris wore a Ray-Ban Arista Round, a pair of sunglasses with the polished, light gold metal frame color. The specs add a flair to his simple white tee-shirt and jeans outfit as he heads to qualifying.
As an alternative to the Ray-Ban specs, you can get the same thin-framed, round sunglasses at Classic Specs (Lindsey in Gold).
Put simply, his eyewear mix lives somewhere between classic acetate, mirrored sports lenses, and collab pieces that nod to his team colors.
