Copenhagen Fashion Week took over the city from August 3 to 7, 2026, with designers unveiling their Spring\/Summer 2027 collections across a packed week of runway shows, presentations, and street style moments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This season kept the focus on the mix Copenhagen does best: playful styling, easy layering, expressive accessories, and pieces that still feel wearable beyond the runway. With established Scandinavian names showing alongside newer labels, there was plenty to take in, but a few collections stood out for feeling especially timeless. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some of our favorite SS27 collections from the brands we kept coming back to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skall Studio<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Founded by sisters Julie and Marie Skall, Skall Studio has built its identity around a quieter approach to Scandinavian fashion. The Copenhagen label favors natural mono fibers, thoughtful craftsmanship, and classic silhouettes designed to stay in your wardrobe for years rather than follow a single season. Its collections are also fur- and leather-free, with an emphasis on fair production and pieces that feel relaxed, lived-in, and distinctly Nordic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For SS27, Skall Studio looked south for inspiration with La Piscine, a collection named after the sultry 1969 French film and also influenced by the La Piscine museum in Roubaix. The theme brought a little South of France ease into the brand\u2019s understated world, mixing timeless pieces with a more bohemian, free-spirited mood and blurring the line between everyday dressing and something more artful. Presented in a waterfront garden at Frederik\u2019s Bastion, the collection felt breezy and romantic without losing the simplicity and wearability that make Skall Studio so easy to come back to season after season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almada Label<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Founded in Helsinki in 2020, Almada Label takes a polished, pared-back approach to Scandinavian dressing, centering its collections on timeless minimalism, elevated wardrobe staples, and pieces designed to stay relevant beyond a single season. The brand\u2019s philosophy is rooted in longevity, both in how its clothes are made and how easily they can live in a wardrobe, with clean lines, refined fabrics, and understated silhouettes doing most of the work.

For its Copenhagen Fashion Week debut, Almada brought that quiet-luxury sensibility to the runway with an Autumn\/Winter 2026 collection built around sophisticated layering and easy, seasonless dressing. Even though the show took place during the SS27 edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week, the collection leaned into cooler-weather textures and layered proportions, giving classic coats, knits, tailoring, and soft separates a relaxed but distinctly elevated feel. It was a fitting introduction to the brand: restrained rather than flashy, with the kind of versatile pieces that feel current now but aren\u2019t likely to look dated a few seasons down the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sson<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Stockholm-based SSON has built its identity around giving existing materials another life. Founded in 2024, the label works with discarded garments and secondhand textiles, transforming them into conceptual ready-to-wear pieces rather than starting with new materials from scratch. That circular approach sits at the center of the brand, but the clothes still feel playful and contemporary rather than overly serious, with unexpected construction and repurposed details becoming part of SSON\u2019s visual language.

For SS27, SSON presented The Resort, turning its Copenhagen venue into an indoor beach complete with white sand and an atmosphere that initially felt like an easy summer getaway. Look closer, though, and the idyllic setting started to feel slightly off, giving the collection a darker edge beneath all that vacation dressing. Swim-inspired pieces, Bermuda shorts, and minidresses appeared alongside much stranger experiments, including inflatable rings turned into skirts, handbags pieced together as clothing, and a briefcase reworked into a top. It was a clever take on resort wear that stayed true to SSON\u2019s habit of finding new possibilities in things that already exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Malene Birger has long been associated with a refined take on Scandinavian minimalism, building wardrobes around strong silhouettes, thoughtful fabrics, and pieces that feel polished without being overly precious. Founded in Copenhagen in 2003, the label focuses on longevity and what it describes as luxurious utility, mixing clean tailoring with softer, more feminine details. The result is the kind of wardrobe that works season after season: understated, versatile, and sophisticated, but never stripped of personality.

For SS27, By Malene Birger returned to the Copenhagen Fashion Week runway after a six-year hiatus with a collection inspired by Florian Illies\u2019 1913: The Year Before the Storm. The book\u2019s look at creativity emerging during a period of uncertainty shaped a collection centered on possibility rather than restraint, while still staying true to the brand\u2019s timeless sensibility. Fluid dresses, polished blazers, relaxed tailoring, Bermuda shorts, and tonal neutrals brought together an easy elegance that could move from day into evening, with subtle sensuality appearing alongside the label\u2019s familiar minimalism. It felt like a fitting comeback: recognizably By Malene Birger, but with a little more freedom and energy behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copenhagen Fashion Week SS27 was a reminder that some of the most memorable collections don\u2019t need to rely on spectacle. The pieces we kept coming back to felt thoughtful, expressive, and easy to imagine wearing beyond a single season, with strong ideas grounded by a sense of longevity. That balance between creativity and wearability is part of what makes Copenhagen such an exciting fashion city to watch, and SS27 gave us plenty of reasons to keep these designers on our radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
